In reviewing the above, it becomes clear that medium voltage cables accessories must be designed for simpler and more rapid installation requiring a low level of skill. After reviewing the various user preferences the choice of materials is discussed in detail, followed by a discussion of the development of two methods of terminating cables and a new joint design
