Abstract :
A control method is proposed that prevents easy tripping of induction motor inverters, even when their load is varied suddenly. A PWM control method is used in which an asynchronized mode is changed to a synchronized mode on the basis of a modulation ratio. A motor torque control approach is used, in which inverter output voltage and frequency are controlled by effective and reactive currents. Experimental results showing that this method can be satisfactorily applied to general-purpose inverters are reported.<>
