Abstract :
The paper explains the basic technology of spread spectrum modulation. An application provides licence-free `instant´ wireless links under Part 15 of the FCC Rules in the USA. Western Multiplex has designed a spread spectrum digital microwave radio with a standard Tl/El interface for a private point-to-point service.
