Abstract
An agent-based object recognition system is described. It is used to observe, recognize, and localize objects with multiple cameras. Each camera is controlled by an agent, performing a recognition process, while communicating hypotheses and results with the other agents. Thus, they form a group of cooperative and collaborating agents, making the recognition results more robust. In addition, they are designed to immediately react on incoming information to speed up the recognition process
