Abstract
A recent research study was conducted to determine if mobile learning can assist high school students to improve their performance in mathematics. This paper describes the background of the study, the mobile learning application developed, and the evaluation studies which were conducted. However, its main focus is on the challenges and lessons learned from the mobile learning study. Since the study was conducted in a developing country, the paper makes several recommendations for pursuing similar mobile learning studies in other developing countries.
