Abstract
A new Brewster cut acousto-optic programmable gain control filter combined with an AOPDF pulse shaper optimizes the spectral losses of a 10 Hz CPA Ti:sapphire regenerative amplifier to obtain 18 fs duration, 1.2%-rms stability, 107 contrast ratio.
