Abstract
The terraine in the Czech Republic is considerably varied. An area of 78 862 km2 has a vertical variation between 115 m and 1602 m above sea level. There are mountain ranges, single steep mountains, spacious hilly areas, flat ranges, ravines and valleys. Here, the authors describe how it is apparent that in such geographical conditions the wind conditions are very varied, and how the success of its energy utilization depends on finding localities with optimal wind conditions
