Abstract :
One of the important aspects in digital video applications is spatial and temporal characteristic. A very little progress has been achieved on spatio- temporal modeling of video data. In this paper, we present a fuzzy spatio-temporal model for video content description that supports spatio-temporal queries. Fuzzy definitions and membership functions of temporal relations are given and second order fuzzy temporal relations are proposed. A model representation for the specification of fuzzy spatio-temporal relationships among objects in a video sequence is presented. Such representations are used for content-based retrieval processing. We also report the experimental results performed on video sequences from MPEG-7 video content archive.
