Abstract :
This paper presents a small wideband low-profile patch antenna with monopolar radiation pattern. The design is based on the L-probe feeding technique. With the use of a cross-shaped probe feed, a stable gain of 4dBi is obtained over a bandwidth of 50% (when S11<-10 dB) and 40% (when S11<-14dB). The antenna patch size is 0.25λ0 and the height is 0.075λ0 referring to the centre frequency.
