  • Abstract
The characteristics of new high gain multifrequency rooftile and mazy rooftile microstrip patch antennas fed by a single small strip have been analyzed using a full wave analysis simulator. The antennas performance is sensitive to the dielectric thickness and patch separation from the ground, which have been used to control the antennas gains up to 44.8 dB and bandwidths up to 21.9 %. The proposed antennas are constructed on glass-epoxy FR-4 substrate of thickness 1.6 mm and relative permittivity 4.6. The radiation characteristics for the designed antennas such as return loss, radiation pattern and gain with respect to changes on the dielectric thickness and patch separation from the ground are obtained using numerical simulations.
