A proposal for construction of contents in guidance VOD

The more available broadband networks become, the more attention the public will pay to VOD (video on demand) for guidance services. The Sasebo Research Center have been experimenting with a presentation video for a theme park since 1996. From the results, it has been found that the duration of user interest is much shorter than expected in the case of guidance VODs, and that content should be tailored towards this reduced attention span. User attention span is influenced by terminal location and by the resolution of the video images, so producers and/or designers need to pay attention to these matters
