Abstract
This paper has been prepared to evaluate the effects of economic parameters on the power transmission expansion planning. The uncertainties associated with capital costs is discussed. For this purpose, the inflation adjusted discount rates based on various models were used for comparing alternative expansion plans. The results provide quantitative evaluation and comparison of different economic and financial models. Case studies with a reduced Turkish Western Anatolian Interconnected System are presented
