Author_Institution :

Abstract :
This paper describes the pedagogical and technological approach to the design of learning activities that can be conducted inside as well as outside the classroom by using iPads. The concept was realized at BG/BRG Schwechat, an Austrian school of secondary education with focus on e-learning during Physics´ lessons with the aim to increase the interest of young pupils in nature sciences. The implementation conducted with two classes, one consisting of 13-year old children, the other one consisting of 14-year old students, generated high degrees of engagement and enthusiasm in the participating children. In order to investigate if the results of this kind of e-learning with iPads can be applied in other subjects as well, two workshops for teachers were held.
