Abstract :
Intelligent public transportation is the most efficient method to solve city transportation problems such as public traffic jam, frequent traffic accident, traffic environment pollution and energy sources shortage etc. For designing city-bus intelligent system, the main body in ITS (intelligent transportation system), we analyzed the whole request of society and government, passenger, driver and center of monitoring and management. Based on the whole request analysis, city-bus intelligent control system was divided into three different but correlative request layers: IS (intelligent service), IM (intelligent management) and IC (intelligent control). With layered control method, we designed the framework of city-bus intelligent control system. The system consists of driving information intelligent control system, security alert intelligent control system, public service intelligent control system and transportation monitoring intelligent control system. It uses CAN (controller area network) technology and wireless network transmission technology to transmit control and status information.
