  • Abstract
Wireless sensor networks are threatened by many security attacks. The tradition security mechanisms are not suitable for the wireless sensor networks since the resource limitation in the sensor node. The routing security is especially important for the sensor networks. Because of the intermediate node need access the contents of the data message, there are many attacks towards the wireless sensor network routing protocol and the traditional end-to-end security mechanism could not do anything. During our research of security routing for wireless sensor network in the application of intelligent transport system (ITS), we found that as a physical network, the efficient security routing for wireless sensor network must pay attention to many factors, such as energy consumption, network dynamics, security, network scale, data management, data fusion, data delivery models. Both the inside and the outside attacks should be considered. And the cross-layer design should be used in the routing for the WSN. Further more, the localization technology may be helpful. In this paper, we analyze the WSN routing needs and the security threatens in the application of ITS and point out what that an efficient security routing protocol should pay attention to
