Abstract :
NMOS has staved off several challenges to its predominance as the VLSI technology. Recent developments in high-density, high-speed CMOS memories, and the ever-present concern for low power dissipation make it timely to reexamine the CMOS/NMOS issue. Three fronts will be assessed: memory, logic and telecommunication.
