Abstract
In this paper, the local similarity of ship radiated noise data is studied based on the temporal characteristics of the time series itself. First, the phase space is constructed using the time delay approach (the dimension is 5, 10, 20, 30, 50 respectively). Then, in the phase space, the similar sequence repeatability is calculated by comparing the reference sequence with the phase space point vector. The repeatability (RPT) curves of the ship-radiated noise are drawn and their features are analyzed. Finally the entropy of the RPT parameter of the ship-radiated noise is extracted. The experimental results show that the RPT curves and entropy can better reflect the time domain characteristics of the ship-radiated noise and can be applied as new evidence in underwater acoustic target recognition
