Abstract :
Male Morpho didius displays brilliant blue color with less viewing angle dependence. It is known that this coloring does not come from pigments but from the surface micro/nano-structure. A less viewing angle dependent display is proposed by analyzing the coloring mechanisms. We´ve fabricated the structures displaying still images as well as different bright structural-colors. In addition, we placed them on an electrostatic comb-drive actuator to change the color.
