Abstract :
Two novel structures of the branch crossing coupler and the low reflection power divider are proposed by introducing fractal metal irises into the H-plane rectangular waveguide T-junction. These structures are numerically analyzed and their wideband scattering coefficients are obtained. The results indicate that the novel structures give a better performance in some aspects than the conventional one. Moreover, the application of fractal geometry brings a certain decrease on the total area of the metal irises.
