Abstract :
Many image enhancement algorithms have been proposed for gray scale images. However, color image convey much more information about the objects and the scenes, which is particularly important to detect fire. A new fuzzy enhancement method is proposed based on a new type of membership function for the enhancement of the fire color images. Experimental results showed that the processing of the new algorithm was fast, flexible, and suitable to real time application, and the processing quality was improved.
