Abstract :
Frequency synthesizers are usually made of phase-locked loop (PLL). This paper describes a synthesizer applying three loops PLL to decrease the dividing times with the same frequency step, which results in reducing the influence of phase noise of prescaler and detector on the output signal. And a millimeter wave doubler is designed to follow that synthesizer in order to implement millimeter wave frequency synthesizer.
