Abstract :
A high-speed multi-channel data acquisition and processing system for coherent radar is introduced in this paper. The system can sample the radar intermediate frequency signal, video signal or I, Q signal at a sampling frequency up to 200 MHz, it can analyze and process sampled data in real time. The system is composed of high-speed multi-channel data acquisition equipment, a high-speed parallel processor, radar grating display system and a microcomputer. The technical features of the system include: the use of a coherent sampling technique and the sampling frequency up to 200 MHz can meet the requirements of various types of radar signal processing and radar target recognition. The high-speed parallel processor is designed in a block structure, so that the programming interconnection structure of its signal processing boards can be determined by the host microcomputer, which may meet the needs of various parallel recognition algorithms. FPGA ICs are adopted in the radar grating display system to implement the glow display of radar echoes on the grating monitor so that the sampled targets can be observed clearly and its position can be determined conveniently by an operator on the grating monitor. The system can be properly used in sampling, storing and processing coherent radar target echoes. By cooperating with associated software, it can be used as a radar target recognition system
