Abstract :
In this paper we analyze the Flex RIA technology and REST service architecture. Based on the analysis, a novel framework of video surveillance system on WebGIS based on Flex is proposed. We further implement several key modules of the system based on ArcGIS engine under the proposed framework, which include display of real-time videos, access to history data, business alarm and so on. System administrators or monitor staff of monitoring system can quickly and easily access to video resources of each equipment by the device icon on the map.
