Abstract
In order to simulate the emergent behavior exhibited by people in the building under fire condition, the escaping behavior pattern is simplified and the macroscopic variables of it has been combined with the microscopic rules of cellular automata (CA), and the escaping behavior model has been established based on CA model. The study shows that the occupants under fire condition have exhibited the behavior of learning, panic, stun, surprise, following, which is very close to the realistic situation.
