  • Abstract
    In this article, we propose a linear Total Active Disturbance Rejection approach for the flatness based control of an uncertain “Boost” DC-to-DC power converter subject to unknown load current demands of arbitrary time-varying nature. The approach makes use of two Generalized Proportional Integral (GPI) observers; one for the precise determination of the load current, and a second one for the on-line determination of the additive nonlinearities affecting the stored energy second order dynamics. After disturbance suppression, a certainty equivalence controller completes the controller design by disturbance-dependent control input gain cancelation. Simulations demonstrate the effectiveness of the control approach in the tracking of a desired stored energy profile.
