Abstract
Many studies have been made in order to find solutions for global satellite mobile communication systems. Medium Earth orbit (MEO) constellations of satellites, which altitudes ranging from 10000 to 20000 km, seem to be adequate trade-off to provide a continuous world wide communication service with a reduced number of satellites. The paper presents a statistical analysis of mobile channel fading of MEO communication systems. Elevation statistical analysis methods for MEO constellations and fade models are exposed. Then, a statistical fading approach is detailed and simulation results are presented
