Abstract :
A method to detect targets embedded in reciprocal media from scattering data is proposed that is based on the optical theorem. The optical theorem shows that the wave data from time reversal mirrors and cavities can be given energy conservation interpretations from which one can deduce the presence of the scattering targets.
