Abstract
It is noted that it is the ultimate objective of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation that its technology and creativity contribute to the construction of an energetic and affluent human society. A key element in the path towards the realization of this commitment is the Mitsubishi Kougaku-Juku, an intensive, one-year, 600-hour program, covering a total of twelve courses such as mechanical engineering, semiconductor devices, computer science, and manufacturing engineering. These courses are offered by some 100 technical professionals, not only to introduce new concepts of advanced technology, but also to cultivate innovative minds in the students. Both are needed for product development. Every six months twenty students are selected for the program and are expected to show excellent leadership in future projects
