Educational programs in management of technology (MOT)

Summary form only given. Enlargement of the worldwide manufacturing base, and the resulting shift in manufacturing capabilities, and the speed and scope of change in technological innovations have brought technology and the management of technology to the center of world-wide attention. Decision makers and engineers with technical management responsibilities must be conversant in technological issues that affect a firm´s business strategy. The authors have examined the history of development of these educational programs-their philosophies, approaches, and contents.
