  • Abstract
    This paper proposes an improved anti-collision algorithm for radio frequency identification (RFID) system. The proposed algorithm combines the advantages of bit arbitration based anti-collision algorithm (BA) and jumping and dynamic searching based anti-collision algorithm (JDS). The performance of the proposed algorithm is simulated and compared with BA and JDS algorithms. The simulated results show that the performance of the proposed algorithm is higher than JDS and BA in general applications, particularly in the case of sequential IDs.
