Abstract :
The need for increased accuracies in time series forecasting has motivated the researchers to develop innovative prediction models. In this paper, a novel weakening operator model is proposed according to the rule of prior usage of new information.Meanwhile, they are compared with the existing weakening buffer operators in forecasting effectiveness.A numerical example is adopted for demonstration.Tthe novel weakening buffer operators propoese in this study has achieved an excellent performance.Research results show the proposed algirithm can enable the new weakening buffer operators to significantly improve the prediction precision of GM(1,1) model.
