Title :
Designing a real-time platform for rapid development
Author_Institution :

Abstract :
This paper analyzes the problems of developing an open architecture real-time platform that supports rapid development and deployment of applications. A solution using value-added domain specific components layered on a state-of-the-art computing system is described, along with a case history of an application employing the technology. Limitations with the solution and areas for future work are also discussed
