Abstract :
Requirements for the SPOT radar active antenna, a rain radar scanning antenna and high-rate telemetry beam-steering antennas are presented. A trend is observed towards arrays which either radiate directly or are associated with reflectors or lens-type optics. Progress is foreseen in the use of highly-integrated solid-state functions with lightweight radiating elements
