Abstract :
UWB antenna is a crucial part of any UWB system required for indoor application. In this paper a microstrip line-fed quasi-SCA is presented to achieve an ultra-wide impedance bandwidth, from 3 - 13GHz with frequency notch at 5.5 GHz notching out WLAN applications. It also features both physically and electrically small dimensions; 16 mm × 25 mm (0.43λ×0.67λ considering the center frequency). Compared to widely used UWB monopole antennas, this antenna design provides a fairly small size and reasonable radiation pattern.
