Title :
Customer-driven technology transfer
Abstract :
The author details a two-year program that has resulted in widespread adoption of technologies from the Computer Research Laboratory at Tektronix Laboratories. The process required a significant shift in philosophy and direction from a lab with international recognition for its research, but relatively few successful transfers of its work to Tektronix´s product divisions. Special pains had to be taken to establish the credibility of the lab to the divisions. Key to the success of the program was special attention to customer needs and the establishment of a formal entity for dissemination and support of the lab´s technologies
