Abstract
COMPAS Windows is a desktop computer application specifically designed to provide powerful and easy-to-use software capabilities for access and analysis of coastal information. It provides a simple point-and-click interface to the Oracle relational database management system which may be used by both managers and researchers. Major features include database creation and maintenance, generation of both text and geographic queries, and options pertaining to the analysis of query results. In this manner, COMPAS Windows provides an effective array of processing alternatives for the coastal information user
