Abstract :
Surface-emitted THz-wave generation using difference frequency mixing with ridge-shaped periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) was demonstrated. The PPLN produces THz-waves in opposite directions, and overlapping each THz-wave increased the total THz-wave intensity about 2.7 times.
