Abstract :
The accurate determination of ocean currents has wide application, particularly in today´s environmentally conscious world. This paper describes the background studies and development efforts directed towards building a low cost, high precision current profiler. A new generation of acoustic current profilers (ACP) is presently under development by the EDO Corporation, USA, teamed with MORS Environment Group, France
