Abstract :
The possibility of the application of a kinetic energy accumulator to the flywheel traction electric transfer of wheeled transport facilities is considered. Flywheel energy is accumulated and given with the help of an electric machine-a high-speed motor-generator mounted on the flywheel shaft. The description and the main parameters of the AC traction electrotransmission with a diesel-generator and 8 motor-wheels are represented. Generator and traction motors have high rotation speed and are brushless and have a nonwound rotor. The motor-generators and traction motors are controlled by thyristor cycloconverters
