Abstract
In this paper, the lightning generated electromagnetic fields over lossy ground are calculated using the FDTD method, then the calculated horizontal electrical field is put into the discretized Agrawal coupling equations for the calculation of the induced voltages on an overhead line. And finally comparison of the computed results with literature shows the validity of the proposed method
