Abstract
Investigates the discriminating properties of the numerous polarimetric parameters and their potential to retrieve electromagnetic mechanisms. This discussion is based on two different approaches: a theoretical work on the connections between the various sets of parameters and the knowledge acquired from the analysis of full polarimetric SAR images provided by several RAMSES campaigns
