Abstract
Summary for only given. Studies the radio signal reflection in the UHF range with the underlying surface characterized by a stratified media. The layer is presented as being composed of dry sand, which consists of ellipsoidal inclusions. To solve problems related to the study of characteristics of reflected electromagnetic field from various types of surfaces, the layer volume is not usually taken into account. This work presents a solution of the direct problem more precisely by taking into account the dimensions and forms of the particles forming the reflecting layer (soil) and their electrical characteristics
