Abstract :
A novel wavelet-based algorithm for radar image processing is proposed. The algorithm is based on a representation of image edges with template wavelet coefficients. Edge enhancement, noise reduction, and image object extraction capabilities of the proposed algorithm are discussed. The algorithm has been used to process data obtained with a dual frequency 36 and 95 GHz airborne side-looking radar.
