Abstract :
The utilisation of remote sensing is still lagging behind the potential of this technology. The EU funded project CASTLE developed a distance learning system aiming at potential users in applied sciences, public and private enterprises. Tele-teaching using the Internet creates additional education opportunities for those without access to other, more traditional forms of education such as university courses or seminars. This paper outlines the project which is currently in its final phase of evaluation, and the experiences gained so far
