Abstract :
Chemical sensors are likely to be a unique instrument for express estimation of composition of natural waters during “in situ” measurements. However, the enhancement of the number of the measured species is hindered either by the absence of suitable sensitive materials or by some peculiar features of their application. A new type of sensor materials on the basis of chalcogenide glasses have been developed in the Laboratory of Chemical Sensor of St. Petersburg University. R&D in the field of multisensor systems for evaluation of the water component concentration is reported in the present paper. The features of sensor response under varying ambient parameters have been investigated. The construction of the dipped multisensor device has been developed, allowing to use the sensor system in sonde, towed and stationary carriers
