Abstract
Presents some results about internal tides being propagated in the Bay of Biscay along the seasonal thermocline. First results show the meteo-oceanographic state influence upon the internal tides´ main features. They have been obtained with an ocean three-layer model. Second results describe the phenomenon impact upon the underwater acoustic propagation for deep waters and large distances. They derive from geometric optic rules. They have been corroborated by some acoustic simulations realized with a rays model coupled to the internal tides model
