Abstract
The intensive development of ATM networks requires solution of principally new problems. One of them is the problem of network resource allocation. A main reason for this problem is that a wide range of traffic types must be supported by ATM networks, however, the network resources are essentially limited. Each traffic type is identified by its specific quality of services (QoS) requirements to be provided by the network. To perform this, a special efficient policy for available network resources distribution must be implemented. This work proposes a new algorithm for optimal allocation of network resources in a static and dynamic mode. A dynamic programming approach is used to create an applied computer optimization algorithm
