Bulk DC-DC Converter Plants

The communications industry has grown through the years with a basic understanding that there would be DC power available for it to operate from. This DC power has remained essentially unchanged for more than 50 years while communications equipments have passed through many design evolutions. Changes to the DC power have been necessary to keep up with the equipment´s requirements, thus calling for a scheme to provide DC power to many different vintages of equipment.
