Abstract :
In this paper we will focus on the challenges of fabricating photonic crystals in III-V semiconductors on rib waveguides. While discussing our methods, we keep in mind our target of applying these structures to the control of spontaneous emission as first proposed by Yablonovitch in Phys. Rev. Lett., vol. 58, p. 2059, 1987
