Abstract
With international competition, there is an ever increasing demand to produce products of good quality and focus onto the customer orientated criteria of reliability, cost and aesthetic appeal. The convergence and integration of a range of subject areas are necessary in the education and training of the Product Designer and Manufacturing Engineer in order to meet the changing demands of the market place.
